Assault Rifles

Assault Rifles are weapons with medium-high ammo capacity and the ability to place a lot of rounds downrange quickly. While they don't boast the ammo limit of Light Machine Guns, they trade it for a much higher accuracy.

AKM

Description

AKM is an assault rifle type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS. AKM (Automat Kalashnikova Modernizirovanny, lit. Modernized Kalashnikov Automatic Rifle) is an improved version of the original AK-47, featuring improvements and refinements in manufacturing and materials to create a Modernized version of one of the most recognizable firearms in the world. Especially popular with freedom fighters, insurgents and guerilla forces, in BATTLEGROUNDS its stopping power makes it popular for close quaters combat.

AUG-A3

Description

AUG-A3 (Armee-Universal-Gewehr-A3), an air drop-only weapon, and for good reason- its exceptional handling and high muzzle velocity make it a highly sought after weapon for anyone fortunate enough to come across a crate and get away with its contents alive. The AUG utilizes the same attachment points and even has the same ballistics as the SCAR-L, albeit with a higher muzzle velocity and slightly increased drag coefficient meaning that bullets fired from this gun with have a slightly more curved trajectory, canceled out by the fact that the bullets travel much faster compared to the SCAR-L.

AUG-A#

Beryl M762

Description

Beryl M762 is a versatile assault rifle with more attachment points than the AKM, on par with the SCAR-L. Its base demage per shot is slightly lower than the other &.62mm assault rifles, offset by its rate of fire being almost as fast as the Groza, allowing its overall demage per second to be significantly higher than the comparable AKM. This comes at the cost of significantly higher recoil that - unlike the AKM - can be reduced by attaching foregrips.

G36C

Description

Right at home in its central European origins, the G36C's damage per second is lower than its popular 5.56m brother, the M416. But it make up for what it lacks in DPS, with better control especially when engaging your enemies at short to medium range.

Groza

Description

Groza is a bullpup assault rifle that will spawn in air drop crates. Dealing the same damage as the AKM and boasting the second-highest rate of fire of all assult rifles, only bested by the M16A4, it can turn the tables around for whoever is lucky enough to get their hands on this rare weapon, particularly in the final stages of the match.

M16A4

Description

M16A4 is an assault rifle type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS. Replacing the US military's M14 as its standard service rifle, the first M16s were introduced in 1964 during the Vietnam War where they quickly grew an infamous reputation for reliability problems, amongst other issues. Feedback from battlefield experience was then used to refine and improved the gun over the years and as a riffle, many derivatives and vaiants of the M16 have been created, with the fourth generation M16A4 being the latest development. Widely adopted by militaries around the world, in BATTLEGROUNDS it proves to be an assault rifle more suites for longer range engagements.

M416

Description

HK416, (referred to as the M416 in - game) is an assult rifle/carbine type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS. A tactical rifle based on the discontinued XM8-project as an improvement of both the M16/AR-15 and the M4 carbine, it integrates the short-stroke gas pistol system from the G36 rifle for less recoil and increased reliability. Adopted by the militaries of several countries across the world, in BATTLEGROUNDS it proves very popular due to the number of attachments it can accept, allowing a great amount of flexibility.

MK47 Mutant

Description

Mk14 or Mark 14 is a supply drop weapon of the DMR class which is fed 7.62mm rounds. Its damage is more than the SKS and SLR which makes it the most lethal DMR. The Mk14 is basically an SLR with an auto mode. With its 61 damage, it carves its own niche between the SKS and Kar98K with 53 and 75 damages respectively.

QBZ

Description

QBZ-95 is a Chinese bullpup assault rifle that fits the theme/location of the Sanhok. The QBZ is an AR that uses 5.56mm rounds. It can hold 30 rounds per magazine, and can be extended to 40 rounds. The QBZ replaces the SCAR-L in Sanhok's item spawn pool (meaning the SCAR-L no longer spawns on Sanhok).
